So I used to have this site, once upon a time, called Bridge & Causeway. Kept it up for, hell, something just shy of 8 years. That’s a long time in both music terms and internet terms. It was a lot of different things at a lot of different times but regardless of whatever happened under that name it always had music, lots of music, and (hopefully) helped play its part in making the world a better, more musical place in turn.
But now, thanks to a combination of personal procrastination (I’ve always said most DJs became DJs because they didn’t want to do much more than sleep ‘til noon every day and listen to records) and unscrupulous hackers in the dark recesses of the internet where people fuck up other people’s shit for kicks, whatever was left of the old site is gone forever, so I’m taking the opportunity to start fresh. It’s probably all for the better, like Noah’s flood, clearing away the filth, giving me a chance to get away from convoluted CSS nonsense and ages-old mixes that were probably more embarrassing than endearing up there at the end. We also lost some good shit, DJ mixes and original tunes the world needs to hear, but MP3s never die, and hopefully I can take this opportunity to separate the wheat from the chaff, the diamonds from the rough, the ill shit from the bullshit, and give ya’ll something worth bookmarking.
